A middleware blueprint for reliable, asynchronous synchronization between operational business systems.
This is an internal architectural blueprint designed by Veltrio to explore the design space of reliable ERP–CRM synchronization middleware. It is not based on a specific client deployment.
Modern businesses increasingly run on two or more operational platforms—an ERP for financial and inventory operations, a CRM for customer and pipeline management. When these systems are not in sync, teams face duplicate data entry, conflicting records, and manual reconciliation overhead. Point-to-point integrations between these platforms tend to be fragile, lack retry logic, and have no observable failure state.
This architecture defines a middleware synchronization layer that sits between an ERP and CRM. Incoming events arrive via webhooks and are ingested into a durable queue. Each event carries an idempotency key to prevent duplicate processing. A worker processes events sequentially, maps schemas between systems, and dispatches API calls to the target platform with configurable retry policies. A dead-letter queue captures failed events for human review.

Dispatch
Receives webhook payloads from ERP and CRM systems. Validates signatures, normalizes envelope format, assigns idempotency keys, and writes events to the queue.
Redis queue holds pending events. PostgreSQL stores processed idempotency keys, enabling safe replay after worker failure without duplicate side effects.
Workers consume events from the queue, apply the schema mapping configuration, and dispatch the transformed payload to the target system API.
Failed dispatches are retried with exponential backoff. Events that exceed the maximum retry count are moved to the dead-letter queue for human review.
A middleware layer that reduces data synchronization errors between operational systems, provides a clear failure surface for investigation, and can be extended to support additional systems by adding schema mapping configurations.
Note: No performance metrics are listed. This is an architectural blueprint—outcomes are defined as design objectives, not measured results.
This blueprint represents the kind of system Veltrio designs and engineers. Let's scope your specific requirements.
